Cookie policy

How AB Flexibles uses cookies on abflexibles.be, which data is processed and how to change your choice at any time.

Last updated: 11 September 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit it. They remember your preferences, for example, or help us measure how the site is used. In this policy, “cookies” also covers similar techniques such as localStorage, sessionStorage and pixels.

2. Who is responsible?

AB FLEX BV, trading as AB Flexibles, Henri Lebbestraat 188, 8790 Waregem, Belgium, is the data controller for the personal data processed through these cookies.

Questions about this policy? Email info@abflexibles.be or call +32 56 90 24 91.

3. Your consent

On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after you give explicit consent. If you decline, nothing is placed and no data is sent to Google or Microsoft. Necessary cookies are always placed — without them the website does not work.

Your choice is stored in the abf_consent cookie. You can change or withdraw it at any time:

The same link appears at the bottom of every page. We ask for your choice again after six months at the latest.

4. Which cookies do we use?

4.1 Necessary cookies — always active

These cookies are required to make the website work and to remember your cookie choice. They collect no information for marketing purposes and require no consent.

CookieSet byPurposeRetention
abf_consentabflexibles.be (first party)Stores which cookie categories you accepted or declined.6 months

4.2 Analytics cookies — consent only

These cookies help us understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they get stuck. We use those insights solely to improve the website.

CookieSet byPurposeRetention
_gaabflexibles.be (Google Analytics 4)Distinguishes unique visitors using a randomly generated number.2 years
_ga_<ID>abflexibles.be (Google Analytics 4)Stores session state (start, duration, last activity).2 years

_clskabflexibles.be (Microsoft Clarity)Groups the page views of one visit into a single session recording.1 day
CLIDclarity.ms (Microsoft)Records when Clarity first saw the visitor.1 year
MUID, ANONCHK, SMclarity.ms, c.bing.com (Microsoft)Anonymous identification and synchronisation between Microsoft domains.up to 13 months

4.3 Marketing cookies — consent only

These cookies measure whether an ad click leads to a quote request and help us recognise which company is visiting our site. They are placed only after you consent to marketing cookies.

CookieSet byPurposeRetention
_gcl_auabflexibles.be (Google Ads)Measures which ad click led to an enquiry (conversion linker).90 days
_lfaabflexibles.be (Leadfeeder / Dealfront)Recognises returning visits and links them to the company behind the IP address.2 years

4.4 Leadfeeder (Dealfront)

Leadfeeder, provided by Dealfront Group GmbH (Kurfürstendamm 21, 10719 Berlin, Germany), translates a visitor’s IP address into the company behind it. This shows us which food companies looked at our site, without identifying individuals. It is a sales tool rather than web analytics, which is why it sits in the marketing category and only loads after you consent.

More information: Dealfront privacy policy.

4.5 Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage which scripts load on the site. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies. All tags inside Tag Manager are tied to Google Consent Mode v2: as long as you give no consent, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization stay set to denied and no cookies are written.

5. Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We use it to measure visitor numbers, traffic sources and page performance. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are anonymised by default and not stored. We do not need ad personalisation or data sharing with other Google services for this purpose.

More information: Google privacy policy. You can also disable Google Analytics browser-wide with the Google opt-out browser add-on.

6. Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity is provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and error messages. This shows us where visitors get stuck on the site.

By default Clarity masks all text you type into forms, as well as email addresses and phone numbers. We do not use Clarity to identify individuals.

More information: Microsoft privacy statement.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google and Microsoft may process data on servers outside the EEA, including in the United States. Both companies are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and additionally apply the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. This provides an appropriate level of protection as referred to in Chapter V of the GDPR.

8. Legal basis and retention

The legal basis for analytics and marketing cookies is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act). For necessary cookies it is our legitimate interest in offering a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention per cookie is listed in the tables above. In Google Analytics 4, user-data retention is set to the shortest available option. Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings for 30 days by default; aggregated statistics are kept longer.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your personal data, the right to data portability and the right to object. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Send your request to info@abflexibles.be. We respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be.

10. Managing cookies in your browser

Besides our cookie banner, you can manage or delete cookies through your browser. Note: if you block all cookies, parts of this and other websites may stop working.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this cookie policy when we adopt new techniques or when regulations change. The date at the top shows when the last change was made. For any material change we will ask for your consent again.
