Topseal film in brief
Topseal film (lidding film) seals preformed trays airtight on a tray sealer. It is the top film sealed onto the rim of the tray, providing protection, presentation and shelf life for your product.
Choose peelable topseal for easy consumer opening, non-peelable for an extra strong seal, or resealable (reclose) film for convenience. Barrier structures enable modified-atmosphere packaging (MAP), and mono-PET variants meet the PPWR’s recyclability requirements. Available with local stock and fast delivery in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

What is topseal film?
Topseal film is the top film (lidding film) sealed onto the rim of a tray on a tray sealer. It protects the product, extends shelf life and ensures a neat presentation.
What is the difference between peelable and non-peelable topseal?
Peelable topseal opens easily by hand, ideal for consumer packs. Non-peelable gives an extra strong, permanent seal. Resealable variants also exist for repeated opening and closing.
Is topseal film suitable for MAP?
Yes. With a barrier structure, topseal film is suitable for modified-atmosphere packaging (MAP), which considerably extends the shelf life of fresh products.
What is skin packaging?
With skin packaging, the film is vacuumed around the product like a second skin, directly on the tray. The result: premium presentation, less moisture loss and longer shelf life.
